This was my artistic rendering of what I wanted World Cup to look like, which I did back in September of last year before the event.
I’m pretty happy to say that it almost exactly resembled this image, but perhaps with the trees not quite at their fall foliage peak.
The only thing I totally failed at is the perspective in this drawing, most notably the scale relation between the trees and the people (and how it needed to change with distance). Those people are either lilliputian or those trees are California redwoods.
