So to start off my Tumblr, I need to boast for a little bit about something in my possession. 

On my birthday two days ago, I received what is possibly absolutely the most awesome birthday present I’ve ever gotten, from my new girlfriend Anna: a handpainted quidditch box! AND INSIDE it has chocolate “snitches” (Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolates with silver foil wings added), a jar of nutella (my favorite), and a CD mix.

The best part is that there are different quidditch scenes painted on every side of the box, including a rendition of the moment I jumped through the hoops at World Cup as a snitch. Being an artist who makes a lot of art and handmade gifts for people, I really, deeply appreciated this gift. Handmade stuff is just so much better than anything else you can get. It means so much more when it’s custom-made just for you and you can see and feel the care that went into its production. 

It’s a bit too small for brooms, so I’m going to use this box to save all of my favorite quidditch memorabilia and special gifts and things I’ve collected over the years. I could go on and on about how great this gift was, but I need to overdose on hazelnut for a bit (you’d better believe those snitches are getting dipped).
